Weddings are fast pace, require a positive team attitude, time management, the knowledge to read a room, deep knowledge of equipment, split second decision making and the ability to do it with grace.
Getting married is all you need to do. Jumping on the count of three isn’t something a couple would naturally do on a wedding day, we will not request for you to act. ( You are welcome to break the record) Gentle direction is provided to make the most of quality light, attire adjustments, floral bouquet positioning and flattering angles, to ensure you love your footage and photographs.

Your wedding film is about you and your partner. Not about creating content for your wedding planner or other vendors. We know how much has gone into the dreaming and planning and we want to honour that in your film collection.
Well before the wedding day, we are working with your wedding team to learn about your priorities, plans , unique audio needs, the lighting and surprise moments. We connect with you both, to learn about your love story, what you’re most excited about, what matters to you, the detailed of your family and friend dynamics and more.
The time and attention we put into your wedding day, long before the wedding day even begins.
Lead cinematographer, Ixchel has been in your shoes before. She knows how fast the wedding day goes by, how the planning can feel like a lot, how important your family is, and how you may be writing your vows the night before. I got you, I understand you. This is why the Parfait method of capturing a wedding is calm, discreet and unobtrusive.
You will never see unsightly black tape, strapped on recorders to hand held mics or consumer audio recorders at your wedding. We care deeply about the details. There are methods to capturing audio that are discreet and professional. Guest experience and your photographs being beautiful and free of distractions is important to us.
Examples below of what we are referring to. You will never see this at a Parfait wedding. During these precious moments the focus should be on you and your partner, not showcasing a lack of preparation and knowledge of professional audio equipment.

Ixchel, the owner and primary cinematographers has been filming weddings since 2011, and has accomplished over 500 wedding around the world. She’s in her mid 30’s, don’t worry you will have someone who is in tune with the latest wedding trends!
All Parfait Productions cinematographers have over 10 years of experience filming weddings and work in film and the arts when not working alongside Ixchel at weddings.
Ixchel has found joy in mentoring wedding filmmakers from multiple countries and accepting students from the SAIT broadcast Television Program to complete their practicum hours while learning and seeing the day to day of a video production company.

Parfait Productions takes pride in offering our couples the top of the line cinematography, lighting and audio equipment. Our gear is ever changing to keep up with the latest technology and needs of weddings. The kit includes Canon C70, Canon EOS R5, Canon L Series lenses, Sony a733 & FX30, Aputure 300X, Aputure 60X’s, Shure and Countryman Wireless Microphones, DJI RS2 and more .

Yes, we require a 50% non refundable initial payment & signed agreement to hold your wedding date with our team. Our booking process is digital!

It’s about all your vendors working tirelessly for the sole purpose of creating the best day and best experience possible for our couples.
We believe the wedding day is about our couples and their families, not about awards, Pinterest boards or our portfolios. Vendors love us and we love them. Our relationships with others is our top priority outside of filming weddings and taking care of our couples. In the pre production stage we ensure we personally reach out to each vendor we will be working closely work with, to ensure a smooth and collaborative wedding day.
We have been fortunate to film many wedding professionals weddings, from photographers and cinematographers to planners. Wedding vendors are one of our top referral streams. If your wedding is within the Canadian Rockies, we’re bound to have worked with at least one of your wedding professionals.
