Paula + Joe | Fairmont Banff Springs Wedding | Highlight Reel | Banff Wedding Videographers
A Summer Fairmont Banff Springs Wedding
Where do we begin? We won't ever forget Skyping with these legends for the first time. Paula and Joe described their wedding style, their connection to Calgary, how they met, the couple's favourite french restaurant in Philadelphia and their love of the LOVE monument by fame sculpture Robert Indiana in the John F. Kennedy Plaza. All these elements were integral in the decor and feel of their wedding day at the Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff, Alberta this past July.
We couldn't have been more honoured to capture this wedding. From the fabulous love story, to the talented vendors, this day was incredible! The immense love amongst the families, the strong bonds between all the bridal party and the amazing dance moves- the day was indeed memorable! There were many many unforgettable moves on the dance floor...and a choreographed dance spanning all the bridal party and families! We have to thank DJ Fayyaz for keeping the dance floor going late into the night! Notice a change in Paula's dress in the film! She wanted to switch things up late in the evening on the dance floor and reveal a shortened gown!
Thank you to Julianne Young Weddings for keeping the day on track and making sure Paula and Joe had their vision come to life!
Enjoy the Highlight Reel of Paula & Joe's wedding day! Paula and Joe also decided to go with our new Cinematic Film option, which is a 25 minute feature film covering their entire wedding day, from morning to night! There will be all new footage and moments for this full edit! Thank you again Paula and Joe, you were such a genuine and fun loving couple- we could do it all over again!
Also, special thanks to Bloom Invites for the custom title for the Highlight Reel film!
Big hug!

Asya + Jamie | Highlight Reel | Buffalo Mountain Lodge Banff | Calgary Wedding Videographers |
Asya & Jamie had an amazing wedding in Banff at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, with a combination of Canadian and Russian traditions. There was no shortage of fun times at their wedding!
The head of the house hold is based on who takes the largest bite of bread at the ceremony. Then Jamie had to get his bride back when Asya got kidnapped during the reception. You'll even see Jamie dancing to get Asya back and drinking out of her shoe in the film!! From the cake toppers, to wedding colours and music selection, it was a true blending of beautiful cultures and families! Vodka! ( I think that's what the guests we're cheering all night?!)
Thank you for sharing the day with us!
We hope you enjoy this Highlight Reel! As artists, we want each film to be a unique experience, and represent the bride and groom!
xoxo

Kristy + Chad | Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise | Winter Wedding
Introducing Kristy & Chad from Regina, Saskatchewan!
The air was crisp Friday afternoon in Lake Louise, the day before the wedding. Which coincided with Valentine’s day! What a romantic weekend for a mountain wedding! We're excited to tell you more about this incredible wedding!
We let Kristy, the bride know we would love to capture any pre wedding day gatherings that friday afternoon. Some of the family decided to go skating on Lake Louise! We had to join them! It was great to connect with the family before the big day and watch them skate around.
The next morning we were up and ready to capture the day! The moment we saw Kristy, she was beaming with joy and happiness. She was so thrilled and grateful to have so many of her friends and family in Lake Louise for the weekend. Her suite had the most beautiful jaw dropping views! I think everyone took a moment to take in the beauty of the mountains. It was a great meeting point for friends and family to pop in and greet the bride! Kristy’s genuine love for her family was truly touching. It was a family filled day for sure ! What a trek it was for many of the guests, mostly coming in from B.C. and Saskatchewan.
Justin spent time with Chad and his friends that morning. Chad’s little nephew was there too. What a cutie! Justin captured Chad reading a letter he had written to Kristy. How touching! You can tell how much he loves this girl! The full letter will be in the extended film!
On to the ceremony- It look place in the centre of Banff, at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. It was cozy and charming. Kristy’s grand father led the ceremony. We loved his anecdotes of his time spent in Lake Louis in years past. Additionally, watch out for the Ring Bear in the film!
After the ceremony, Abby Photography took us around to various locations around Lake Louise for the photo period. What a blast it was to work with this award winning duo!! While out on the lake, there were tourists checking out the sights. Many children stopped to admire Kristy and claimed she was an ice princess, it was really cute! She truly was though! Kristy and her mom came prepared with cozy boots, with matching jackets and gloves! Their bond and friendship was one to admire! They laughed and enjoyed having their photos taken in this winter wonderland.
Later was the champagne reception back at Chateau Lake Louise. Complete with Kristy’s cousins managing the guestbook station. What stood out the most for us, were the two gowns and photos set up in the room. These were her two grandmother’s wedding gowns and photos of them on their wedding day. We love family mementos. It’s really what weddings are about, families coming together and sharing memories amongst each other.
The reception was stunning with black, ivory and champagne decor. We loved the floor plan, complete with a combination of long tables and round. The guest favour’s were custom M&M’s! What a great idea! Everyone needed a chocolate fix, since after all it was Valentine’s day weekend! (Yes, it’s a weekend now..not just a day!!- Let your lovers know.) We had those the next day on the car ride home to Calgary! Thanks guys!
Last but not least! The guests were invited to change into something more casual for what was to come, as the reception was black tie/formal. I captured the guests as they gathers for the ride to the barn. Waiting at the meeting point was a lovely hot chocolate station set up by the Fairmont. We then took a short slay ride over to the Brewster Barn.
Kristy and Chad are the perfect match. From the moment we met a few months back over Skype, to the emotion in their vows, to the way Chad looks at Kristy. They understand each other, respect each other and best of all, can have a good laugh together. They are so laid back, which we loved too! The newlywed's even have some mean dance moves. Upon entry to the barn they had a whole dance routine planned. Part way into their choreographed dance, close family joined them!!! So good! Everyone was beaming and enjoying the moment. The party was then in fun swing!
It’s genuine couple’s like this who remind us why we were filmmakers and passionate about love stories. What an absolute pleasure and honour it was to spend the day with Kristy & Chad in the mountains. We are over joyed with happiness for this couple! Congrats!!!
Enjoy the film!

Miranda + Jordan | A Winter Elopement | Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
Introducing Miranda & Jordan
After reading the first email from Miranda, we instantly knew she and Jordan were madly in love. They wanted a film to showcase their incredible love story and relationship. A wedding film was one of their top priorities! We felt a connection to their story and insta love kind of relationship. We were excited to take on this project! It was important to us to showcase their relationship and intimate day.! We wanted their film to feel like a journey!
Miranda & Jordan really valued our craft, right from the start. They wanted a film of their day to show friends and family and of course to have as a keepsake. Miranda was excited and willing to hear our recommendations to make their film their own, and to focus on their relationship and interests. We continued to plan and email right through Christmas. I remember sitting at the computer on Christmas day, dreaming of their wedding and just knowing how perfect it was going to be. From the winter scenery to the significance of their wedding date.
The couple eloped at the Fairmont Banff Springs in early January. From their photo collection on display, her stunning gown, video messages from their close family ( this will be on their full length disc!) , personal vows and first dance! There was no shortage of romance and personal touches. You'll see some more in the film! Their was no need for a big reception or grand entrance to make this video heartfelt and big on details. We all need to give elopements more credit. In our opinion they are the upmost, most romantic ceremonies and truly about what marriage is all about, the union and connection the couple holds. This is why we are film makers, to capture these precious personal moments, for genuine couples. It was a pleasure to spend the day with Miranda & Jordan. Enjoy the film.. And cake topper!!
xoxo
