The 1 Hour Film Series // Volume 1

We're pleased to unveil The 1 Hour Film Series. All films part of this series will feature an artists, in their own environment, all shot within an hour.

We thought we would start with the amazingly talented and vibrant Jill of Art + Alexander. She creates custom wedding invitation design, illustrations, and hand lettering, based in Calgary. Check out her work on instagram, if you haven't already!

As the final pieces are coming together for our office remodel, we thought of what we would want for artwork. We commissioned Art + Alexander to create this piece to tie into the office decor.

Alexie + Giuseppe's Wedding Highlight Reel

We're thrilled to be sharing this stunning couple's wedding film! We were fortunate to work with the talented Jacqueline Elizabeth Photography at the wedding. She's also the one who introduced us to this sweet couple. (Thank you!) From the brides show stopping gown, the grooms impeccable style and the stunning decor, from flowers to a paper backdrop at the reception we were in love all day. Giuseppe brought the italian flair to the wedding with wedding favours (espresso and percolator!) , the evenings menu and the tradition were the couple gets wrapped with streamers on the dance floor after the first dance. Alexie and Giuseppe are madly in love and you can certainly see it! Not to mention, their common love of cars! The centre pieces adorned a toy car to showcase their hobby!

Carmen + Michael's Blue Devil Golf Club Wedding

MR & MRS DELUX: LOVE IN PARADISE

Carmen and Michael were the perfect couple to spend May long weekend with at Blue Devil Golf Club! They are upbeat, love their friends and family and last but not least, they love each other very much!!

The lovely wedding officiant Soleiha, {which we love} will share their love story through this film! We hope you enjoy all the sweet candid moments and surprises from their wedding day! One of the biggest highlights for us was the choreographed dance that Mike and his mother performed at the reception! I think Carmen was pretty shocked! Who doesn't love a groom with dance moves?!

Big shout out to Jason from Dance! Shout! Productions for introducing us to this fun loving couple! Thank you to Mike and Carmen for having us and allowing us to capture your big day!!

Jadis & Simon's Intimate Winter Wedding

An Intimate Wedding At the Post Hotel, Lake Louise

Today we are sharing the heartfelt, intimate and perfectly curated winter wedding of Jadis and Simon. We had the pleasure of filming their wedding, at the Post Hotel, Lake Louise, Canada.

From the moment we received the first email from Jadis, we knew their wedding would be a unique celebration of love, their heritage, and families. With Jadis and Simon planning from 7090 Km’s away, we set up a Skype date to chat about the wedding, their love story, and why they had picked the Post Hotel in Lake Louise for their intimate Canadian Wedding.

Fast forward several months and the day had come! We had recently arrived home from our long awaited honeymoon and were ready to rock the party (not figuratively) [ This is our way of saying “ film like you’ve never filmed before and make it epic!! ” ] The drive down to Lake Louise was magical, with the weather going from winter, to spring…then back to winter with a sprinkle of summer here and there. We’re in Alberta after all, right?

The morning of the wedding, the sky was blue and the sun was shinning! I filmed with the ladies and Justin with the men (our usual roles). With friends and family in the room, spanning the globe, the two respective rooms were full of energy and excitement.

Jadis had all her wedding day essentials laid out. Each piece perfectly selected for the occasion. One thing that caught my attention was her journal. She had documented her journey from engagement through to the wedding planning. You’ll see a glimpse of this in the film!

When Jadis and her bridesmaids were putting together the final aspects of her wedding day look, the energy in the room was electric. The elegant hair adornment was just one of the pieces that spoke to me. She was very gracious to allow us to film on the balcony for the last moments before the ceremony, where the light was just perfect!

From the personal vows, hand selected readings from family members and the warm inviting decor, the ceremony was just breath taking. Post ceremony, we headed to the picturesque Lake Louise, to capture the wedding party and couple during their portrait session. Giant snow flakes were falling, and clouds were hanging dramatically low over the lake; it was magical! You’ll see the four seasons in the film, as it naturally occurred! What followed was a night full of heart felt speeches (some belly laughing!) and then dancing in the Outpost Pub.

We wanted to thank J & S again for sharing their wedding day celebration with us. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and capture the moments as the day unfolded. Congrats again!
